Pedro Pascal’s Fantastic Four Movie Look Is So Perfect For The MCU’s Reed Richards
The latest sneak peek of Pedro Pascal’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps look has solidified why he is the perfect casting for the movie. With the film being part of Marvel’s 2025 release slate, excitement is growing for what was already one of the most highly-anticipated MCU projects of the Multiverse Saga. The casting process was closely followed, so it was big news when actor Pedro Pascal was announced as the MCU’s official Reed Richards.
Pascal has had a busy few years in Hollywood, starring in critically acclaimed shows like The Last of Us and blockbuster action films like the recent Gladiator II. It’s no wonder that Marvel jumped on the chance to cast an actor who has been getting plenty of online buzz. Though some questioned Pascal’s fit for the role of Mister Fantastic, especially after John Krasinski’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness cameo earlier in the MCU timeline, a recent sneak peek of the character proves that he’s perfect.
Recent Pedro Pascal Photos Show Off His Reed Richards Look
The Fantastic Four: First Steps has recently been filming in Spain, and Pascal was seen interacting with fans outside of the set. MCU Film News and Pedro Pascal Daily posted pictures of the actor on social media, giving everyone a sneak peek at Pascal’s Reed Richards look. Though he is only in casual clothes instead of a full costume, his hair is clearly done up in the style that it will be in the film as he’s sporting Reed’s signature graying hair.
Pascal’s hair is slightly curled, with one significant strand framing the front of his face. MCU Film News posted the picture of the actor next to a Marvel Comics panel of Reed for a side-by-side comparison, and it’s hard to deny the resemblance. Considering that The Fantastic Four was confirmed to take place in the 60s, it makes sense that Pascal’s Mister Fantastic hair looks like an old-school style. The curls are a classic look of that era, so Reed should have a clean yet charming haircut like that.
Why Pedro Pascal Is The Perfect Choice For The MCU’s Reed Richards
Many Marvel fans have strong opinions about who should be the MCU’s Mister Fantastic. Pascal might not have been high on some people’s radars, but he certainly is now with the glimpses of his character that have been leaked so far. There’s also no question about Pascal’s acting ability, which has won him several awards for his various roles, and won over the hearts of viewers. He’s proven that he can be a leading man and that he can hold his own in an action sequence.

2025 Will Officially Be The Year Of Pedro Pascal
After ending 2024 with Gladiator II, Pedro Pascal’s The Last of Us season 2 return will only be the start of possibly the biggest year of his career.
The Fantastic Four work as a team, but Reed is the leader and father figure of the group. Pascal’s recent portrayals of Joel in The Last of Us and Din Djarin in The Mandalorian are examples of how he’s familiar with the tough but kind paternal leader role, and his experience will surely show through with his MCU character. It also helps that Pascal aesthetically embodies the intelligent, put-together hero as well. Especially after seeing the latest sneak peek of the actor’s Fantastic Four: First Steps look, fans should feel confident with the direction that the project is going in.
