The guest star list is sick, okay. The people that are coming in that said yes to do it… [squeals]. I’m just squealing for everybody to find out. And then there’s some additional good girl hang again with T’Lyn and Mariner and Tendi. They let us have that again in a very, very different situation. And I think that episode – it all happens in that same episode, and I can’t wait for that specific episode to air because I think it’s the best one. It’s written the best, the guest star list is the best, the dynamic of us trio [of] girls doing the thing is so much fun.

Star Trek: Lower Decks season 5 is the end of the animated comedy’s run on Paramount+, but Star Trek actors want to save Lower Decks just as much as audiences do. There is an active fan-organized campaign to #SaveStarTrekLowerDecks, just as Star Trek fans were able to rescue Star Trek: Prodigy from cancelation so that Netflix picked up Star Trek‘s other beloved animated series. It’s possible some of the actors who are putting their weight behind rescuing Star Trek: Lower Decks may even be among the secret guest stars in season 5 Gabrielle Ruiz teased.

The hilarious voyages of the USS Cerritos have become an indelible part of Star Trek, with its amazing capacity to lovingly laugh at all aspects of the Star Trek franchise mixed with the show’s heartfelt emotion and lovable cast of misfit Starfleet heroes. Star Trek: Lower Decks certainly feels like a show that could run for an unlimited number of seasons, although the current streaming business and economics are cutting the show off in its prime. Still, 5 seasons of Star Trek: Lower Decks is a gift that will keep on giving with the final batch of 10 episodes on Paramount+.
